Yogi, Tippy and Lynne
This is a story of the act of planning and the awareness of death
Lynne Allbut a popular writer, TV presenter and barefooter is well known for the love of Yogi her best friend and wing dog of over 15 years and her absolute world. Yogi is still by her side providing the unconditional love and company that only a dog can provide. Being 15 years old, Lynne is painfully aware that this will not always be the case. Yogi has had a few scary health moments over the last couple of years.
Lynne had been looking for the tiniest but meaningful way of compensation and approached Footprints and Whispers to commission a ring made containing fur. Not only Yogi’s fur, her predecessor Tippy, and some of her own hair. Lynne says: ‘The three of us will always be together in the most beautiful, solid titanium ring.’
After researching many options, Lynne was moved by our own story and trusted us with creating this most treasured ring. Rich, the artisan who created Lynne’s ring sent her a picture of it in construction, which she found fascinating and equally as poignant to keep.
Lynne wrote : ‘Amy made the whole experience a pleasure and very personal as no thing nor question was too much trouble.
Planning ahead, having the quality of care, and the fact that Yogi is still with me, definitely made it so much easier to do.’
